RECITY brought together subject matter experts to build capacity among students pursuing architecture in Navi Mumbai and to orient academic institutions to take responsibility for urban issues.
The first RECITY Public Forum was jointly convened by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Architecture and RECITY Network on 18th November 2016 at the CIDCO Convention Centre in Navi Mumbai. More than 30 experts and municipal officials joined hands with over a 1,000 concerned citizens & students in a day long forum. The forum focused on Wetland Preservation, Waste Management and Sustainable Transport as important areas of intervention. Navi Mumbai Municipal Commissioner, Honorable Shri Tukaram Mundhe, felicitated this proactive change.
